Reading the Classics and a few others...

Photograph: "Treasured Books" by 1bluecanoe

One of my New Years resolutions is to read more classics. (More to come on my other New Years resolutions later.) Beginning to diminsh the long list of books on my ever expanding reading list would be a nice accomplishment for this year.

Here are a few I'd like to read: (please know that these are in no particular order.)
That is one per month at least. I know I have others but my mind is drawing a blank at the moment.
Let me know if you have any suggestions for me and I'll add them to my growing list!

  1. Excellent list. East of Eden is such a good read. Persuasion is my favorite Jane Austen novel. Have fun!

  3. I definitely think these are good! I have a few of these on my classics list! Some others I have that you might already have read are
    Catch-22
Pride and Prejudice- well all of Jane Austen's- Just started Persuasion
    Lord of the Flies
The Old Man and the Sea
    The Scarlet Letter

And you got I think all the others. But one a month, what a great idea! I'd love to read them with you so that I'll stay disciplined, haha. Plus I want someone to discuss them with. Let me know!

    Love u!

  4. Love Great Expectations, Great Gatsby, and Walden! My favorites are:
    The House of Mirth
    Vanity Fair
    A Tale of Two Cities
Les Miserables (Patrick would probably also like this one)
And one that's not technically a classic but still a beautiful book . . . A Separate Peace
