is pink and brown. These are some lovely half yards for a special baby girl that is due to arrive this month. They will be worked up into a simple patchwork quilt if all goes well. I'm hoping to follow Randi's helpful timeline to make the quilt come together before the baby girl is out of high school!

As for my 100th post giveaway...
I thought about this a lot and finally decided on a few fat quarters from my stash. My stash is humble and small compared to some (see Red Pepper Quilt's weekly Sunday Stash!) but it does hold a few goodies.
Three fat quarters of Anna Maria Horner's Little Folks Voile will be sent out to one lucky recipient. Please leave a little note saying how you might use the fat quarters or tell me about your latest crafty endeavors. The winner will be drawn on Tuesday September 14th at 8 pm PST at which time comments will be closed. Please include an email address in your profile or comment so that I may contact you if you should win. Good luck and thank you for reading A Simple Breath!
Comments are closed and the winner has been announced. Thank you all for participating!
I would love to use the fat quarters to make little bags or try out making a little quilt.

The color combination for the quilt is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI am in awe of anyone who quilts. Something I always wanted to try.
I love pink and brown - it's like chocolate and strawberries. And those Anna Maria fat quarters are so pretty. I have the one with the little houses in flannel. Mmmm ... must get that out :-) p.s. I see you have Embroidery Companion - is it good? I can't wait to get my hands on a copy.
ReplyDeleteMmmmm ... what yummy fabrics - I think I'd use them to fussy cut for my current obsession - 1" hexagons!! (a slow-burn project) Congratulations on your 100th post!
ReplyDeleteGood morning, Annette - I'm glad we've found each other b/c what a great giveaway!
ReplyDeleteMy best friend is expecting her first baby - a girl - so really the possibilities for those fat quarters are endless right now. And I would love to learn to quilt - so maybe I could try a quilted pillow for the nursery or something. Thank you for the opportunity!

What lovely colours! Pink and brown are sweet together (and so sweet with a new baby girl :))
ReplyDeleteThank you for dropping by! It's always fun to hear from another August Breaker and congratulations on the 100th post!
P.S. I loved what you said about the tea and blankets yesterday! (I'll have to try the tea you named :))
ReplyDeleteAnnette, I love your choice of fabrics for the new quilt. What a lucky little lady! I want to start working on christmas gifts so let me know if you want to do a craft day and I'll come your way.
ReplyDeleteI'm usually a pink-hater but these are beautiful! Thanks for the giveaway!
